Dr. Julie McLeod

Julie McLeod is Co-Lead of the MECCE Project’s Digital Research Environment work. She is a Professor of Curriculum, Equity and Social Change at the Melbourne Graduate School of Education of the University of Melbourne, which is a MECCE Project partner. She is Deputy Director of the Melbourne Social Equity Institute and an editor of the international journal Gender and Education. Her research in the history and sociology of education encompasses curriculum, youth, gender, and feminist studies. Current research interests include historical analyses of social science research on youth and educational inequality, and a multi-site qualitative, longitudinal ‘born digital’ study of young people in the senior years of secondary schooling and into the world beyond, called Making Futures.
