Dr. Eva-Maria Waltner

Dr. Eva-Maria Waltner is a Research Associate with MECCE Project partner, Freiburg University of Education, contributing to the MECCE Project Indicator Development work. Eva-Maria’s main areas of research include sustainability and environmental education, implementation research, and indicator development. She is a postdoctoral researcher based at the Padagogische Horchschule Freiburg, the Institute for Biology and its Didactics. She has published on measuring Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) competencies in grammar school students and developing indicators to track ESD-relevant teacher training, particularly in relation to national monitoring of ESD implementation in Germany and the UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development.
