Mariana Campos Rivera

Mariana is the Axis 1 Research Coordinator of the MECCE Project, coordinating our Case Studies and Country Profiles. She has also supported the development of our CCE indicators. Originally from Mexico, she got her Bachelor’s in Biology from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, and her Master’s in Environment and Sustainability from the University of Saskatchewan, in Canada. She has conducted research in the areas of quantitative ethnobiology, human dimensions of sustainability, Traditional Ecological Knowledge, and Indigenous Youth. She is part of the Transdisciplinary Education Collaboration for Transformations in Sustainability, an international team of researchers and partners from Canada, Germany, and South Africa.
